There’s not many things better than shooting a Big Sur elopement. The scenery, the mood and the possibilities are endless. Even though I generally love light-filled images the fog makes this place look extra magical. Big Sur is like a person who can pull off any outfit, you know what I mean? The more I live and explore this place, the more inspired I get! Every little hidden trail leads to a new spot.

Anyways, meet Amanda and Brandon who first explored the redwoods with me before heading to Pfeiffer beach. We spent somewhere between 2 and 3 hours together, the only thing missing was the champagne (my BAD!). This dress was perfect for the location and we got lucky with an incredible golden sunset. This whole session was bathed in light, I considered calling it Golden Elopement. The florals were just the right palette, created by the incredible Cassia Foret.

Pfeiffer Beach is one of those magical places with cliffs and huge rocks and arches. Sadly, it can be very popular to the point where it’s not accessible if the parking lot gets full. I typically don’t recommend planning a holiday weekend elopement at Pfeiffer Beach to be safe, but it really does depend on the time of year too. For other Big Sur location ideas check out my other journal posts.

I look forward to shooting more Big Sur Elopements this year!
